The RAF Museum is easily accessible by public transport and by road. Choose your preferred travel option below to help plan your visit.

The nearest bus stop is the Cosford Garage, approximately a 1 mile walk to the Museum gates.

Cosford is on the Birmingham to Shrewsbury line (via Wolverhampton). The station is a ½ mile walk from the Museum, but please note there is no footpath alongside the road.

Before travelling, check timetables and services with train operators such as West Midlands Railway. Cosford station is unmanned and has flights of steps from both platforms, which may affect accessibility.

The RAF Museum Midlands is centrally located with excellent motorway access.

  • From the south, leave the M6 at junction 10a
  • From the north, leave the M6 to junction 12 and follow the A5 west

The Museum is just 30 minutes from Birmingham city centre and 10 minutes from Telford.

There is a large car park on-site – view parking charges.

Visitors can fly into Cosford Airfield with prior arrangement through RAF Air Traffic Control.

To enquire, please call 01902 377030 and provide as much notice as possible.

Please note: the airfield is the property of RAF Cosford, not the Museum.
